MSH Coagulation requisition form (MS 520)
Activated Protein C Resistance (APCR) is associated with a point mutation in the Factor V gene (eg Factor V Leiden). This mutation slows the inactivation of factor Va by APC, causing a hypercoagulable state. Factor V Leiden is the most common cause of inherited thrombophilia.
