Use standard technique to obtain fluid from the site.
Transfer to a container and secure the lid to prevent leakage.
Indicate on the Cytology form/ requisition the specimen site/body site/collection method/laterality

Deliver as soon as possible after collection by Service Assistant/porter or pnematic tube to the Cyology Wet Lab room 6-100-10 on the 6th Floor.
After hours delivery by Service Assistant/porter to the "After Hours" refrigerator located near the patient elevators.
