Clinical history is required

Minimum of 3 fresh cores of renal cortex where possible.

Specimen is retrieved by laboratory staff and aliquoted into appropriate fixatives for Electron Microscopy (Glutaraldehyde), Immunofluorescence (Michel's Media), and Light Microscopy (10% Buffered Formalin)


Specimen is sent to Toronto General Hospital for processing.

Monday to Friday; 8 am to 5 pm

Notify the Histology Laboratory at least 1 hour prior to the procedure so arrangements can be made for a Technologist to retrieve the fresh specimen.
