The Lipid Profile consists of:
- Total Cholesterol
- HDL Cholesterol
- Non-HDL Cholesterol (calculated via Total Cholesterol - HDL Cholesterol)
- LDL Cholesterol (calculated via Total Cholesterol - HDL Cholesterol - (Triglycerides/2.2))
- Triglycerides
The Lipid Profile consists of:

Lipid Profile results should always be interpreted against relevant context (risk assessment, initiation of treatment, monitoring treatment response) in conjunction with Framingham Risk Score and the Canadian Cardiovascular Society Guidelines (1).
In case of discrepancies, always interpret results using reference ranges as stated on laboratory reports and/or electronic patient chart.
