○ Any specimen that grows Mycobacterium tuberculosis (first positive culture preferred)

○ The specimen will be referred to the Public Health Ontario Laboratory for testing.
○ The Public Health Ontario Laboratory will facilitate the transfer of Mycobacterium tuberculosis isolates that grow in culture to the National Microbiology Laboratory for susceptibility testing upon request
