○ Indicate clinical information (e.g. recent travel history, refugee or new immigrant (and country), consumption of any uncooked food products, eosinophilia, HIV, immunocompromised, has a critical illness or was admitted to ICU, or had a previous parasitic infection.
Whole blood/serum (serology) ○ Decontaminate skin with 70% alcohol followed by iodine or chlorhexidine, collect at least 5 mL of blood into appropriate container
Worm identification ○ Remove worm or proglottids and place into sterile container
