Optimum full draw


2 aliquots of 0.5 mL plasma will be separated from the full draw of EDTA tube when received in the laboratory.
Collection Instructions

Room temperature sample received ASAP for immediate separation and freezing at -20 degrees Celsius.

To be received and separated within 30 minutes of collection.

Avoid samples with gross hemolysis or lipemia this may be cause for rejection. Specimen storage at ambient temperature is unacceptable.

Test is referred out to In-Common Laboratories.

This is a send out test and is to be received in flow cytometry Monday to Friday 830 am to 630 pm.Notify laboratory at x4683 that specimen is being collected. Specimen must be sent to laboratory ASAP right after collection.

Reference range will depend on laboratory that HICL sends specimen to for testing. In case of discrepancies, always interpret results using reference ranges as stated on laboratory reports and/or electronic patient chart.
